 |

i'm so pleased to introduce the think book, a downloadable PDF magazine for photographers...with SEVEN issues now available!
to view our e-store and order click here! enjoy!
you can also go to the "for photographers" page on this site and read more as well as download a small preview of issue six! to do so just click here!
this think book is different from those past because while issues one through six just deal with wedding by wedding issues, this one deals only with receptions. it covers everything from reception details to on and off-camera lighting to nighttime portraits, first dances, toasts, table shots, cocktail hours, and more. the book is 53 pages long and until sunday, september 12th, 2010 this and all prior think books will be on sale for $25. you can buy all seven issues together for $175. after the weekend the books will revert back to their $35/issue price.
this book is very special to me because the ENTIRE PROCEEDS FROM THE SALES OF THE BOOK ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 09 will be donated in the name of the sweetest little boy i know to the down syndrome association of tallahassee.. john david is the son of one of my dearest friends and you can read about their story here.. there are no words to describe john david and his beauty and i was deeply honored to have photographed his mother while she was pregnant and to have photographed john david as a newborn. i love you, tysons!

|
 |

i am so excited to announce my next workshop on april 08, 2010 in tallahassee, florida! i am so excited to go back to my old hometown and teach there again! the workshop is one day only and is $750.
the day will begin at 10am with a discussion on style - not just a philosophical discussion but i will show with examples of work throughout my career how my style changed and evolved since 2002. i will show how i learned to see and use light differently, how lens selection changed the look of my work, and how to gently direct your clients in different situations for optimal results. all of this discussion will be accompanied by images - even showing the same situation over and over throughout the years and how i approached them differently as my approach evolved. we will break for lunch around 1pm and begin back again at 2pm with a shooting session outdoors covering how to shoot in bright light, shade, and with flash outdoors. from 4pm to 6pm we will cover workflow and post-processing and after a dinner break we will go over business and marketing.
is that a lot to cover in one day? yes it is! the workshop is limited to 18 students and i hope that you'll come join us! $400 is due upon registration with the remaining $350 due on april 01, 2010. more information will be provided (exact location of workshop, etc.) upon registration. i hope to meet you in tallahassee in april!
WE ARE SOLD OUT! THANK YOU!

the amazing boutwell team just announced the release of DIRTY PICTURES, a quick and easy way to apply a texture to your image. click on the banner ad above and go to "buy 'em" to hook yourself up.
i love these things and can't stop playing with them! i like a subtle textured look and this filter easily allows you to change the opacity before you commit.
examples:
cinnamon windsor at 15%: |

| roxy glitterhips (where DID they get these names from anyhow?) at 20%: |
